Whilst not essential a footprint is helps to prolong the life of your tent and makes your camping experience more enjoyable.

Before pitching your tent, a footprint can be used to locate your tent on your pitch. Once you are happy with its position the tent is pitched on top of the footprint.

Pitching your tent on a footprint keeps the bottom of your tent clean, we regularly use them at our tent shows to keep the display tents clean.

A footprint also protects the groundsheet of the tent from stones and other objects that may be on your tent pitch.
