This is a crucial step in manufacturing as it ensures a high-quality product as well ensures as little animal cruelty as possible.

Down is an animal product, sourced from ducks and geese. All of our brands source their down as a by-product of the meat industry, however, they also ensure that their suppliers are not using outdated, cruel practices during production such as fore-feeding and live plucking. This ensures that the ducks and geese have a good quality of life.

Many of our brands are certified by Responsible Down Standard (RDS). An important part of their certification has been the onsite auditing of hundreds of parent farms (where birds are raised to produce eggs and where the highest risk for live plucking occurs), hatcheries, raising farms, and slaughterhouses to help ensure animal welfare practices.
