Patagonia’s polyester-made products such as insulated jackets, waterproofs, and fleeces are all made using recycled plastic bottles. Using advanced manufacturing processes these bottles are broken down and made into new fibers which are then woven into fully recycled fabrics.

Patagonia was the first manufacturer to make fleeces out of recycled bottles. This process not only avoids adding more plastic to the world but also doesn’t rely on petroleum as a resource and reduces Co2 emissions by 59% when compared with virgin polyester.

Patagonia amongst its range also uses recycled nylon and down.
